I had a EF II IS which I loved. I contemplated for a while to upgrade to the III/RF, and finally did as part of moving to RF. I am amazed at the weight difference, not just the 1kg weight loss but distribution change of the elements. It is so easy to carry now (I was okay carrying the II). Only gripe is that it is a shame Canon do not give you a flight case anymore.
