The Sigma I series 24mm f2 DG Contemporary Lens for Sony E-mount cameras is a wide-angle prime lens designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras, featuring a bright f2 maximum aperture and high speed autofocus with stepping motor. Optical construction includes 13 elements in 11 groups with 1 FLD, 2 SLD, and 2 aspherical elements. The lens has a compact all-metal build and weighs 360g, and a magnetic lens cap is inlcuded.

This lens is one of the renewed Sigma I series premium compact lenses for full frame mirrorless cameras, being released through 2025, and with the DN removed from the name. The optical design is unchanged from the previous DG DN version and so the optical performance will be the same in this new DG version. In addition to the name change, the lenses in this series feature newly updated laser engraving on the body and product line badge.
