This camera is able to deliver some great shots, very good in bright light conditions but does exhibit quite a bit of noise at ISO400 and above with Chroma noise becoming a serious issue at ISO800.
The camera allows full manual settings which is essential in some circumstances as is the Image stabilisation which works well. The lens does deliver some great results and the 12mp files are detailed enough for some heavy cropping.
The distortion from the extreme ends of the telephot ranges is well controlled but can lose edge sharpness.
The wide angle setting isnt quite wide enough for me as with the cropping factor it works out to be 35mm. You can spend even more money and buy the lens convertor giving true wide angle or double focal length.
