The Nikon ZR Cinema Camera features a 24.5MP partially stacked full-frame sensor with 6K 60p and 4K 120p RAW recording, powered by the EXPEED 7 processor for enhanced performance. The Nikon ZR introduces RED colour technology to a Nikon camera for the first time, bringing the same tonal depth and colour response that has defined RED productions.

It supports in-camera 12-bit RAW formats including R3D NE, N-RAW, and ProRes RAW, alongside ProRes 422 HQ, H.265, and H.264. Dual base ISO 800/6400 delivers over 14 stops of dynamic range. The ZR is the first camera with integrated 32-bit float audio and includes a 4 inch DCI-P3 touchscreen monitor with 3070k-dot resolution. Additional features include dual CFexpress Type B and microSD card slots, 5-axis image stabilisation, 9 autofocus recognition modes, shutter angle control, and Frame.io cloud integration for remote workflows
