First up, Canon have announced they are (somewhat belatedly) entering the mirrorless system market with the EOS M. Featuring an 18 megapixel APS-C hybrid CMOS sensor, it is launched alongside two new lenses, the EF-M 22mm f2 STM and the EF-M 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 IS STM, and one new flash, the Speedlite 90EX. As you might expect, you can also get a lens adapter – the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS M – to let you use existing EF and EF-S lenses. Press release here.
Started to implement the listings for the EOS M System, you can find them here.
Next up, I’ve started adding the Pentax K-30, which somehow passed me by when it was announced, and is now available (see here).
Panasonic, one of the pioneers of the mirrorless system camera, are releasing a new model, the DMC-G5. A micro four thirds camera, this one has a 16 Megapixel sensor. Listings will start to appear shortly for the G5 in the G system section (here).
Finally, Panasonic have also announced some new compact cameras:
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ62
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ20
Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ5
Again, listings will be appearing shortly.
