Canon battery grip for the EOS 5D. The BG-E4 combines the functions of a high-capacity battery pack with a verical grip. Its dedicated set of controls (shutter button, main dial, AE/FE Lock button , and AF frame-select button) allows you to take portait shots with the same ease as horizontal shots. It can hold one or two BP-511 battery packs, or 6xAA Batteries to provide approximately twice the shooting capacity of the camera alone.

You either love them or hate them.

I personally cant use a SLR with the grip. I prefer the body to be slightly longer which the grip does.

Not the best price, but the extra battery capacity (2 from 7dayshop - nice and cheap!) and the vertical grip buttons are worth while. I shot a fair amount in the vertical position. Its more natural (for me anyway) to shoot this way.
