New Feature: Price Drop Filters

A new registered user feature is now available – filters on the photography price drops.

As there are now around 2500 products on the site, the price drops list is normally quite long. With the new feature you can choose to see price drops only from specified manufacturers.

To use the new feature, login and you will see the option in your user settings box on the home page.

Registered users can also set up their own watch list for the home page, and write product and shop reviews. Further features will be added over the next few months.

Currently only the unfiltered price drops are available in an RSS feed as I guess you know. I could make a url for a user specific price drop feed available without needing a log in, but it would of course have no element of security – anyone else could access it too. Probably not much of a worry in reality! I was thinking of making the watchlists available as an RSS feed, but this does have some privacy implications as anyone could in theory see it if they found the URL and therefore know what you have in your list…. but that might be a more useful thing to have?

Is it possible to get this as an RSS feed or is the login too much of an issue ?
