Ordered a second hand Canon 180mm macro which arrived today at the time specified. It would have been delivered yesterday but I was not available. Lens was very securely packed with loads of protection. Lens was as new so I am delighted not only with the product but also the prompt and free delivery

Bought Canon Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX II. Saved £100 compared to my usual dealer and it arrived within a specified 1 hour delivery slot. Just added to my favourites.

I have purchased 2 Sigma lenses in the past month from Mifsuds and in each case they beat everyone else on price for a UK sourced product that would be covered by Sigmas 3 years warranty.
I had no problems with the purchase online and the 10% off and free delivery tipped it in their favour. The products arrived within 48 hrs by courier and were well packed to prevent any possible damage. I was delighted to receive a unexpected, free gift with my latest purchase, a book on the use of lighting in Photography.

Just bought a Panasonic LX 15 from Matt at Mifsuds, and was delighted once again by the great friendly service, nothing was too much trouble. Matt gave me a good competitive price, and the camera arrived on a next day delivery as agreed! This is my third purchase from Mifsuds and it certainly won't be my last…service like it used to be!

I bought a used Hasselblad Lens hood which turned out to have a split in it. When I told Matt, he was very apologetic and gave me a full refund on the item (including postage) and told me to keep it. You don't really get service like that these days.
I also bought a used Hasselblad 60mm Distagon off them a while back and their grading of it was very conservative - it was in really perfect condition.
I will certainly use them again - they're a good company to deal with.

I wrongly ordered a camera filter, on returning the filter, I asked if I could swop it for a different one. This was sent out before mine had arrived back at the shop. The advice was great. Great service, I would highly recommend this company.

Awful after sales service trying to return a bad copy of a lens I had part exchanged. They wouldn't give me back the lenses I had traded in and even lied to say they had sold them after informing me I had to have them back as part of the trade in deal.Maybe a coincidence but the same lenses were up for sale the very next day.

I'd never deal with them again and recommend everyone to steer clear.

I part exchanged my camera for a lens and a couple of sd cards. The price Matt offered me for the camera was a fair price. The service was fast and my lens and cards came well packaged and on the day promised.

Bought a Nikon D810 from Mifsuds when it arrived and i opened the box i found that there were two instruction manuals in the box one in Dutch and one in French the plug for the charger was also a european one when i queried this with the shop i was told that a english manual and power chord would be sent on.
I was a bit concerned that i had been sold a Grey Import and checked there website which stated that they did not sell these the reason i was given for the anomalies was that Nikon had made a mistake with the packing.
Was not very convinced that this was the case therefor will not be using this company again.

Another excellent service by Mat and his friendly and knowledgeable team. A simple phone call resulted in a competitive quote on a trade-in and the reservation of a new Canon 100-400 II lens. Visiting the shop is always a pleasant and enjoyable experience, the deal was simple and easy, finished off with a complementary cup of tea – great stock levels and a friendly service “above and beyond the normal” is always appreciated and worth sharing.

Another successful visit to this excellent shop – even better now that it has been expanded which doubles the size, new lines and even more stock (new and second-hand) all making it an even better experience. Great team, with encyclopaedic knowledge, always willing to let you look at any item of kit from a humble second-hand filter to the largest and fastest lens – a shop that goes the extra mile, I’ll be back.

Excellent shop, I have been a regular for too many years, they are always prepared to go that bit extra – e.g. lending kit so you can try before you buy. They have always been friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful – great on the net, but even better to visit if you are in the area…

I made one purchase at Mifsuds, an expensive fixed focal length Canon lens, which arrived beautifully packaged and exactly on time. I believe I got the last 300mm end in the country after the disastrous earthquake and consequent problems for exports from Japan. They are the only shop who have telephoned me after selling me something to ask me how I found it. That impressed me.

I have nothing but good things to say about Mifsuds. I have bought at their store and via telephone/post; in all cases the staff have been courteous and knowledgeable. Their descriptions of second hand gear is spot-on. I have even spent hours playing with gear at the store with no complaint of time-wasting.

In summary, a great dealer.

I always check shop reviews and prices on the Camera Price Buster site before making a purchase of photographic equipment. On 15 August 2011 I contacted Mifsuds to check if they had a Canon EF F4 24-105L IS USM lens in stock. The shop assistant confirmed that they had a white box lens in stock. I then ordered the lens from Mifsuds over the internet at the quoted price of £777 including delivery. This was the lowest price among many outlets I checked that day. The lens was delivered, well packaged by courier at lunchtime on 16 August. On the basis of this experience I am pleased to endorse other reviewers 5 star ratings.

I bought two lenses from this store. To be sure about the condition of the lenses, I spoke to them directly over the phone.

In both cases (one a Minolta lens and the other a Sigma lens) the description was totally misleading.

Not only that: the functionality of the lenses was severely compromised. The Minolta had a very stiff focusing ring due to wearing and the Sigma had severe focusing problems.

Yes, you can return the lenses, but you have to pay up to £20 pounds for delivery

I ordered a Sigma 17-55mm f2.8 lens on fri Am. it was delivered on the following Monday it was extremely well packaged,and the price was one of the cheapest (the cheaper supplier was out of stock ! )

Have used them on two occasions now. Both purchases were for expensive items. On second item they even price matched Park Cameras who didnt have item in stock and were £40 less. Great service always, good comms, well packed items sent by courier. If only all shops were like this!

Ordered the lens over the internet Tuesday Afternoon, received a phone call within ten minutes to do a security check on the credit card as it was for a reasonably high value. Lens arrived next day by lunch time.

Fast, efficient, polite, well packed, simply could not have asked for or expected better.

Just bought another item from Mifsuds and as always received such great service Id like to strongly recommend them. Was considering buying an SB-E2 and after having the benefits of the ST-E2 pointed out for a similar price bought this instead. Needed the item for a last minute job and staff assured me the item was in stock (salesperson had it physically in her hand - always reassuring) and would be dispatched immediately for next day delivery (item arrived first thing the next morning).

Outstanding customer service! I ordered a Nikon D90 from Mifsuds yesterday and it arrived this morning.

Very prompt replies to my e-mails too. I spoke to two different members of staff - both a pleasure to deal with.

Plus, of all the companies listed on this site, their price was the cheapest!

Was looking for a Manfrotto bag and strap. Many retailers claim to have them but none in stock.

Saw Mifsuds had a good price - rang to check in stock and spoke to very helpful staff who also pointed out benefits of ordering online.

Order placed late pm Fri. Immediate acknowledgement email.
Email Mon morning stating posted special delivery. 8am Tues morning a well packed parcel arrived.

Not a flybynight company. Mr Mifsud did my wedding photos in 1972 when I lived in the south west. Shop is bigger today than was then.

Ordered the Nikon AF-S 50mm f1.4 G from Mifsuds on-line at 2pm on a Friday afternoon (having first called to check that the item was in stock*).

*Spoke to a very helpful member of staff. Asked about ordering while on the phone, but discovered postage was cheaper on-line. Not sure why they didnt match the postage price and take my order there and then, but not the end of the world.

Brand new and unopened lens arrived at 10.15am the following day (Saturday), even though I had missed their noon deadline for shipping on-line orders.

Very impressed with the speed and service (and the lens is great btw).

Ordered a Sigma zoom lens through their clear and straight-forward web sight at 10 a.m.
I received an Email at 11:28 stating that the order had been sent.
Received, well packaged item, exactly as ordered at 09:50 the next morning.
Not quite the cheapest price but an excellent shop.

I bought a used 100-400mm zoom lens and the service from the lady I spoke to was excellent. The lens arrived the next day and was exactly as she described. Very pleased with the service.

I went to Mifsuds in person, to buy a Canon 40D body. They tried to sell me a 40D split from a kit, this is because "it is impossible to get stock" and "all the other dealers do this". Well im sorry, but this is just plain wrong. I simply wanted to buy a camera, not a split up kit. You could say I was being picky, but when im spending that much on something I would at least want it to be new, sealed, and in the right box! They do not mention this at all on the website, so be warned of Mifsuds!

Sadly, this isnt the first time I have been disappointed in the service from Mifsuds.

Although not the cheapest shown on this site, I opted to order a Canon 580EX II flash from them based on the number or good reviews posted here.

Totally glad that I did, as the flash arrived promptly and well packaged. They even gave me a courtesy call to let me know that the order had been despatched and would be with me the following day.

I would recomend this shop to everyone!!!

Just got to say - great service from Mifsuds. They had the lowest price in the UK for a new Nikon. I ordered reluctantly, having heard lots of stories about low price retailers not delivering , but Mifsuds said it would arrive this morning and sure enough it did! Easy ordering - the girl at Misuds seemed more concerned about checking that they had what I wanted in stock and when it would be delivered than selling me extras. Im a convert!

ps I initially got a quote from a friend who has contacts in Hong Kong but to our great surprise, Nikons seem to be no cheaper there.

Having been a customer of Mifsuds for more years than I care to remember, I have always found them to be both knowledgeable, polite with good communication at all levels and more importantly they always seem to want to put you the customer first.

Working as an pro golf photographer throughout the UK and Europe, Matt and his staff have got me out of a sticky position on more than one occasion, and even getting the courier to deliver to me on the course in time before the first ball of the day has even been hit of the tee.

Recently I changed over from Canon to Nikon, a move that I am more than happy with,after the financial shock had subsided he he and once again Matt,Kate and the staff made this a knowledgeable choice and with Tim the resident Nikon boffins recommendations all proving their worth,I would have no hesitation in recommending them to the beginner or the professional alike.

I Have used Mifsuds for several purchases this year including Canon lenses, very knowledgable and helpful staff. Well stocked at competetive prices and anything I have purchased has always been sealed as new, i.e. not used as demo. Highly recommended.
