The good: Excellent viewfinder; on demand gridlines; auto-focuses with non-afs lenses; wireless flash control; resolution; build better than Canon equivalents; easy to set key functions (metering, WB, drive mode etc.); auto ISO feature; can use cheap remote shutter release
The less good: metering favours area under focussing point in matrix mode
Overall: worthwhile upgrade over D50 & better functionality than D40 / D40X; worthwhile going for the D200 if you can afford the extra & dont mind the weight.
