Product: Canon EF 300mm f2.8L IS USM Lens

I also have an EF 500 f/4 L IS USM but this is my favourite lens... razor sharp, instant autofocus, fantastic colour rendition and contrast, this lens is quite brilliant. I use it for wildlife photography, especially birds in flight, and its indispensible for such work. It works extremely well with the 1.4x TC and very well with the 2x TC, especially in clean air with a small but close subject.

Not had my copy long but damn it focusses like oiled lightning. At f2.8 it is sharp, f4 a little sharper but still finger-cuttingly brilliant. Work flawlessly with TCs and is sharp wide open at 420mm and 600mm.
