At the current price of £200 (after cash back offer) this camera is a real bargain.
It is light yet solid but easy to use. For the family just press the iA button and most shots will come out great!
Indoors, under low light, the iA mode soon sets too slow shutter speeds as it tries to keep the ISO at 1600 or below. But it does warn you to activate the flash which I found works fine, although some have reported issues but possibly they have old firmware loaded?
If you can afford it go for the X version as this has the great compact X Vario PZ 14-42mm lens making the whole package really small.
Also adding the 20mm f1.7 pancake lens is a good idea if you do a lot of low light photography.
This is a great addition to a G3 or GH2 (with 14-140mm lens) as the lens can be interchanged for days when you want a more compact, coat pocket sized, camera. Better than the Sony NEX 3, when fitted with the X lens, as it is smaller and cheaper with useful touch screen. The Sony may be better in low light but at the expense of size due to the lens.
